Teignmouth Community College was the place to be last night for the latest round of action in the Leisure Leagues 6-a-side Tuesday night football league. As we reached week 12 of the season, the Premier League division had games that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Priors Preds and The Boys From Rizzario opened the night with a highly contested game that ended in a goalless draw. Sons of Pitches were no match for Fudge Samplers as the latter scored 7 goals to emerge victorious. Dawlish Utd had a hard-fought victory over Paris Ganja Man with a score of 4-2, while Dorsetshire Sauce outplayed Old Dogs No Tricks FC with a score of 6-3. Future Stars, however, were no match for the dominant Interyournan, who scored 12 goals to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
The most valued player of the week goes to Harvey Hodgson of Priors Preds. Hodgson's impressive performance on the field was enough to earn him the coveted honour. Although Priors Preds left the field with just a point, Hodgson's display of skill and dedication was evident throughout the game.
As the league progresses and teams continue to fight for the top spot, the competition is expected to get tougher and more exciting. With the season now in full swing, fans can expect more thrilling performances from outstanding players like Harvey Hodgson and teams like Dawlish and Interyournan who are proving to be big contenders in the league.
Big thanks to our officials Steve, Sam and Dan for another excellent night on the whistles, we do it all again next Tuesday with week 13 of the campaign. Good luck to all our teams for that.
