Football fever has intensified in Teignmouth as we reached week 5 of the exciting 6-a-side Tuesday League. In the Premier League division, the competition remained fierce with some thrilling matches that had spectators on the edge of their seats.
Shaboing United came face to face with Chippy Chips in a game that was nothing short of a spectacle. Despite a valiant effort, Shaboing United was unable to secure a win and succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against a determined Chippy Chips.
In another riveting fixture, Crystal FC managed to scrape a victory against Cheese On Bread with a closely fought 2-1 win. The game was notable for the performance of Sam Clifton from Cheese On Bread, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Despite his team's loss, Clifton's exceptional skills and undeniable sportsmanship shone through.
Meanwhile, Multiple Scoregasms were beaten 1-0 by Tiki Toka, in a match that saw a strong defensive display by both teams. Completing the week's fixtures, Old Dogs No Tricks FC emerged victorious against CORGIS, with a 2-1 win. This match was particularly notable for the effort of Elliot Bowery of Old Dogs No Tricks FC, who became the top scorer in the Premier League division by netting 2 goals.
