It was another good night for our current league leaders in both divisions of our Tuesday Night 6 a side league in Teignmouth.
We have one space to fill in this league having been left with no choice but to remove Fourintina from the league due to persistent abuse of our officials. It's well documented that we follow a zero tolerance stance towards referee abuse and have absolutely no issues with removing teams that can't play the game with respect for the referee. I'm pleased to say that we have already filled one space this week so i'm sure it won't be long and the last one will be taken. Sixes and Sevens continued their strong season with a 3 - 2 win over Don's Ultra while Unathletico made moves up to 2nd place with the same scoreline in their match against Dawlish Utd, Liam Mansell bagged a hattrick for Unathletico.
Meanwhile in Division One, it was a good night for the joint leaders in what looks to be one of the great finale's to a season for some time. Both Ajax Trees Down and Norfolk n Chance have 12 points from 8 games with Ajax ahead by just one goal. The two sides meat next week in a game that will probably settle the title. They both won well this week, Ajax putting 8 past Old Dogs while Norfolk won 3 - 1 against Paris Ganja Man. Charlie Payne and Mark Dailey were both on target with hattricks for Ajax. The two sides sitting fairly comfortably in mid table met with Newton Wanderers getting the better of FillherWycombe this time out. 3 - 1 the score with Jordan Cooke getting all 3 for The Wanderers. Both sides will play a part in the title race though as they each face one of the top two on the final night of the season. It's going to be a great few weeks ahead at the top of this division!
