Dudley Monday Football League Week 4 Wrap-Up: Scintillating Performances and New Top Scorers

The Dudley Monday 5-a-side football league entered its fourth week, with teams from the Premier League and Division 1 divisions battling it out in intense football matches under the floodlights. 

In the Premier League division, the game of the night was between Blade Runner and The Old Tigers. The Old Tigers proved their mettle, emerging victorious with a 5-3 win. This thrilling match was a testament to the attacking prowess of both teams and the high level of competition in the Premier League. Well played to both sides.

Simultaneously, SH Dons and Sewey FC engaged in a battle of nerves, with the former clinching a narrow win of 3-2. This sees them take top spot with a huge fixture in the next game week against a very impressive Goal Diggers side, we'll be looking out for that one.

Meanwhile, in the Division 1, Underdawgs FC and Yungens FC went head to head. Yungens FC secured a well-fought victory, edging their opponents 2-1 in a closely fought encounter. This sees Yungens take the team of the week title despite having a seemingly depleted squad, well played lads.

Division 1's standout player for the week was George Gough from AC Chapel B, who scored three goals in a remarkable individual performance. His fantastic display of skill and precision propelled him to the top of the goal-scoring leaderboards for Division 1. 

With this week's fixtures delivering an exciting blend of goals and close matches, the Dudley Monday Football League continues to be a showcase of local football talent. As the season progresses, it will be fascinating to see which teams will rise to the top and which players will emerge as the top scorers in their respective divisions.
