WEEKLY NEWS FOR 10th JANUARY
Good afternoon everyone,
Thank you all for another great evening of football up John of Gaunt School! You'll all be pleased to hear we have another couple of teams joining of leagues in the next couple of weeks!
The Untamed Fitness Premier League
The first game of the season saw Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps run out 6 - 2 winners against M78, reigning champions Benteke Fried Chicken proved they are out to retain their title with an emphatic 7 - 0 win over Division 1 champions Chuckle Vision FC. Club Tropicana Drinks FC kept pace with the reigning champions after putting 8 past newly promoted Scoring like Sonogo! FC Fusion wrapped up the points with a solid performance which earned them a 5 - 1 win over Bayer Alwayslusen and Shunt Gunk Utd were gifted a 5 - 0 win having a points match. Be interesting to see how this season pans out with a few teams in the running for the championship!
The 3M0 Division 1
Expected Toulouse look set to continue their push for promotion after seeing off a much improved Magpies Allstars FC 4 - 1, Alfie Little proving to be the stand out player in this one. Captain Bradley Daws led his team from the front putting in an outstanding performance and bagging himself a hat-trick as well as a Man of the match award which meant his team were able to wrap up the points against Fossil FC and secure a 4 - 1 win. The Freshford Rejects look set to bounce straight back to the Premier League with a 7 - 0 win over Madeline Milan FC who are still looking for their first goal of the season. Ivory Toast remain unbeaten as they turned over 6 Offenders 6 - 2 which even saw Callum Aylesbury pull off an outstanding penalty save for the Toast! McDons were handed a 5 - 0 win in a points match which saw some of the officials stand in to give them a competitive game! Thank you to everyone who stayed on to help! Much appreicated.
