WEEKLY NEWS FOR 17th May
Good morning everyone,
Thank you all for yet another great night of football up John of Gaunt school, most
of the games were extremely competitive which shows what a high standard of
teams we have throughout both divisions!
Premier League
6 Offenders & ABCDE FC played out a brilliant 1 – 1 draw with both teams
having multiple chances to bag the win! James White being awarded Man of the
Match for another great performance. The Clash of the Titans saw Matt Gile’s
and his Borrussia Munchenvadgeflaps come out 4 – 0 winners against Trow Utd
with Alex DeSilva the outstanding performer in this one! White Horse claimed a well-deserved
point against Bancoloana in a tight 1 – 1 draw. Dan Bryce proving to be the
MVP. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels put in an impressive performance with a 4 – 1
win over Bring Back Lloyds FC. The final game of the evening saw Fc Fusion
return to winning ways with a 5 – 1 win over Shunt Gunk, Myles Woodward again
putting in a captain’s performance to not only bag the win but move himself to
the top of the player of the season table! Can anyone catch him?
Division 1
Class on Grass recorded a solid 3 –
1 victory over Dixie Normous with Matt Marciniak earning himself a well-deserved
man of the match award! Storm Brand led from the front again with a brilliant
performance which saw Tinchy Sneijder run out 11 – 0 winners against Crips
Outlaws FC. The Freshford Rejects kept pressure on top spot with a hard fought
2 – 1 winner over Scoring like Sonogo, Joe Elliot proving to be the difference
between the teams. Expected Toulouse found their winning formula with a solid 1
– 0 victory over McDons FC with credit going to both defences in this one. The
final game of the evening saw a brilliant contest between Ivory Toast and
Fossil FC with the away team eventually coming out 1 – 0 winners! Lee Ross
putting in a great performance to seal the win.
Other News
Our Tuesday league is now up and running so feel free to pop up and watch
some of the action if you are free!
Next week we will be taking some team photos so make sure you all do your hair
and makeup!
We will be running a competition to coincide with the FA Cup final. If you can
guess the correct score before the kick off then you will earn £1 off your
