Yet another brilliant night of football up at John of Gaunt school! Thank you
for all helping to keep our standards so high and making us the best league in
the area!
Premier League
6 Offenders keep up their solid start to the season holding defending
champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps to a 1 – 1 draw! Jack Bush being awarded
MVP. Wreckhead Rovers and Shunt Gunk Utd also played out a 1 – 1 stalemate to
both bag their first points of the season, Luke Alford putting in a great
performance in this one. FC Fusion returned to winning ways with a 2 – 0 win
over ABCDE FC, Isaac Garg making some brilliant saves for ABCDE FC. Bancoloana
retain top spot with a 2 – 2 draw against Bring Back Lloyds with Bradley
Arberry the stand out player here. Trow Utd keep the pressure on at the top
with a solid 3 – 1 win over Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels with Tom Blackman
being the difference between the two sides!
Division 1
Crips Outlaws FC got their season
off the mark with a brilliant 3 – 0 win over Expected Toulouse with Warren
Roberts putting in a brilliant display for the winners and taking them off
bottom of the table! Class on Grass played out a heated game with Fossil FC with
the home side running out 4 – 0 winners in the end. Captain Bradley Daws
bagging a brace and a man of the match award to go with it! Dixie Normous played
out a super competitive game with The Freshford Rejects but fell to a 2 – 1 defeat
with leaves Freshford joint top! Stefan Aland providing inspiration with a MVP
performance. Performance of the night goes to a brilliant display from Tinchy
Sneijder who put 6 past Ivory Toast in a 6 – 1 with Sean Horobin putting in a
fantastic shift for the winners which keeps them top. McDons FC keep the
pressure on the top two as they continued their winning run with a 3 – 1 victory
over Scoring like Sonogo.
Other News
Welcome to Jake Davies and his team Ballack Eyed Peas to the Tuesday division
which will kick off in just over a week. We still have a couple of spaces
available with great rewards on offer to any team that recommends another to
join!
Last night saw the first running of our new “Fair Play” league so the table
will be posted later in the week!
We also have brand new “soft touch” footballs on their way to us and we will be
one of the first leagues to be trailing them! As always any feedback is greatly
appreciated.
