WEEKLY NEWS FOR 22nd FEBRUARY
Good morning all,
Thank you all for another brilliant night of football up at John of Gaunt
school! All games were super competitive which is always great to see!
Premier League
Team apetito and ABCDE FC kick off the evening with a
superbly played 0 – 0 contest which saw both goalkeepers make some outstanding
saves! Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels put in an outstanding shift to hold
reigning champions Borussia Munchevadgeflaps to a 2 – 2 draw! The third game of
the evening saw Fossil FC make their debut in the league (Standing in for
Bancoloana) in a well contested game against Exeter Gently. FC Fusion keep the
pressure on second place with a solid 4 – 0 win over Expected Toulouse.
Division 1
Bring Back Lloyds extend their league at the top and look
certain to win the title with only three games remaining after beating Class on
Grass 1 – 0 even with Billy Brett being award MVP. Ivory Toast played out a fiercely
contested 2 – 1 win with McDons FC with both teams having multiple chances to
secure victory! Wreckhead Rovers fell to a surprise 2 – 1 defeat against Crips
FC with Kyle Tredrea putting in an outstanding shift for the victors! The final
game of the evening saw 6 Offenders run out 4 – 1 winners over Ballers FC with Dan
Cockerill being awarded the MVP for the second time this season!
Other News
We now only have three games left this season before we welcome four new teams
to our leagues! Keep an eye out on Facebook for upcoming promotions, prize
