WEEKLY NEWS FOR 3rd MAY
Good morning everyone,
Thank you all for yet another great night of football up John of Gaunt school,
the standard seems to increase every week which is brilliant to see!
Premier League
Bring Back Lloyds FC got back to winning ways with a hard fought 1 – 0 win
over White Horse with Luke A’court being awarded MVP. Borussia
Munchenvadgeflaps go joint top with a solid 3 – 2 over a determined ABCDE FC.
Bancoloana follow suit to climb to the summit on goal difference with a 2 – 0 victory
over 6 Offenders, Josh Campbell putting in a brilliant performance and bagging
a contender for goal of the month already! Fusion FC kept up the pressure on
the top with a fantastic 5 – 4 win over Trow Utd with captain Myles Woodward
putting in yet another man of the match performance which leaves the top 4 separated
by only 1 point. The last game of the evening saw an epic clash between Teenage
Mutant Ninja Skrtels and Shunt Gunk Utd which saw it finish in a 1 – 1 draw!
Luke Alford the stand out player on the night.
Division 1
Dixie Normous FC brought a fresh
new look squad to this evenings game which saw Josh Thornton lead from the
front in a comprehensive 6 – 0 win over Crips Outaws FC with William Stacey
being awarded man of the match. The Freshford Rejects lost ground on top spot
after being held to a 1 – 1 draw by Class on Grass which saw Kevin Deadman put
in a stand out performance for Class and even bagging himself a goal! Ben
Deadman’s Tinchy Sneijder look like the team to catch this season with another
impressive 7 – 0 win, this time over Expected Toulouse. Kurtis Betteridge
putting in excellent performance in this one. Scoring like Sonogo bagged their
first win of the season with a 2 – 1 win over Fossil FC, Nathanial Edwards
being awarded MVP after putting in an epic shift all game. The final game of
the evening saw Ivory Toast run out 4 – 1 winners over McDons FC with Ben
Fielding awarded man of the match for the second time this season.
Other News
All fixtures for the Tuesday league have now been published and will start
on Tuesday 15th May! Good luck to everyone involved.
