A brand-new season of the Lincoln Tuesday 6-a-side league got underway this week at the Keith Alexander Football Centre, with the action getting off to a flying start and some new teams entering the mix.

League leaders and reigning champs Dilksys XI kicked off their new campaign as they left off, beating new side Crystal Phyllus Cowboys 3-1 with a Kane Brown brace followed by a Sam Booth strike. 

Another new name joined the fray as Light Session started off with a walkover, before Murder on Zidane’s Floor beat Bafana Bafana 2-0 to also make a winning start to the campaign. 

Hippo Hunters and Team 5 faced off in a tough battle that ended in a 1-1 draw, as Team 5’s Joe Pavier’s goal earned them a first point in the league.
