Although the Lincoln Tuesday 6-a-side league only saw the one official game this week, it came with huge implications.
As Dilksys XI raced to a 6-2 win against Murder on Zidane's Floor, they sealed the title for this season, pulling five points clear with the final gameweek left.
Their thoroughly dominant season so far has shown why they fully deserve the plaudits, having won all nine games.
Their opponents on the night will secure second place, and will go again next season, which is upon us very soon.
Remember, that just because you have a walkover doesn’t mean you can’t play. You can turn up and pay as usual to enjoy a casual friendly against another side who may be available on the day.
