Lincoln Tuesday 

The new Lincoln Tuesday league at the Keith Alexander Sports Centre got off to a flyer with week one seeing some great matches. 

Flying without Ings were certainly flying their way to the top of the league with an outstanding 9-1 victory over Diabetico Madrid. McKenzie Hitchens put in a man of the match performance with four goals whilst Jordan Lane bagged a brace. Ings we’re 6-1 up at the break with Simon Buttery finishing off a nice counter attack to give Madrid confidence. The second half was a better spectacle for Diabetico as they  found their feet, limited the goals and were guilty of missing some good chances themselves to narrow the deficit. 

Game two saw an excellent entertaining game between Inter thebag and Crystal Meth Palace with Palace coming out on top in an 8-goal thriller in a 5-3 for the latter. Man of the match Cameron Leadstone was instrumental in their victory. Charlie Parker will feel hard done by for not receiving the man of the match award with a well taken hat-trick whilst Sajjad Hassanzadeha was all over the park too. Inter thebag created some great chances and an excellent goal from James Hobson with his brace was the pick of the goals. 

We’re delighted to welcome Beer and Verve FC to the league this week but are actively seeking more teams to join this fledgling league. At just £22 a week for the first season and free entry this is an excellent opportunity to ditch the poor competitions and imitators and join the biggest and best provider not just in Lincoln, but the entire UK.
