Sunday 12th January - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good start to the new season in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent football on display.

In the Premier League, Mother Munchers started the season on a high note, overcoming Isn't it FC with a 2-0 victory. Mother Munchers burst onto the pitch with confidence and a game plan that paid off, earning them three crucial points as the season unfolds.

The second match of the night saw Paralympiakos triumph over Charv, with the same scoreline of 2-0. Paralympiakos showcased a strong defensive strategy, managing to keep a clean sheet and bagging a couple of goals to secure their win.

However, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the heated clash between WM Village and The Lamb Inn FC. In a high scoring match, The Lamb Inn FC emerged victorious with a 5-3 win over WM Village. This fixture was a roller-coaster ride of emotions for fans, with lots of goals and end-to-end action providing a real feast of football.

James of The Lamb Inn FC was the star performer in this division, netting a total of 4 goals. His remarkable performance has set him at the top of the scoring charts in the Premier League division.

We welcome new team Inter Ya Nan to the league from Sunday 19th January, filling the final gap in the league.  We wish these good luck going into their debut game with us.
