It was a fantastic evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week once again, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.
The Lamb Inn FC and Branston Boys squared off in a game that was nothing short of a thriller. Both teams exhibited tremendous grit and determination, battling to a dramatic 4-4 draw. Each team had their fair share of opportunities, but neither was able to seize the advantage, leading to the hard-fought stalemate.
Meanwhile, WM Village emerged victorious in a one-sided encounter against GAVS ARMY, securing a comfortable 4-0 victory. WM Village demonstrated their dominance throughout the match, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of victory.
Paralympiakos also snatched the win in their game against Isn’t It FC, with a final score of 3-1. Paralympiakos managed to maintain their lead, displaying an impressive defensive performance to fend off any comeback attempts from Isn’t It FC.
Perhaps the most emphatic performance of the night came from Mother Munchers who outclassed Lolly McD’s Army in a 5-0 drubbing. Mother Munchers' striker, Max Jones, was the star of the show, netting an impressive total of 3 goals and emerging as the top scorer in the Premier League division.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
