It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring a cancellation from Main Rats, who return as normal on Sunday 22nd December.
In the Premier League, Paralympiakos asserted their dominance over The Lamb Inn FC with a convincing 3-1 victory. Harry Rush, the division's top scorer, managed to net the solitary goal for The Lamb Inn FC, taking his season's tally to an impressive total. Despite their loss, Rush's performance was a silver lining for The Lamb Inn FC.
Elsewhere in the division, Mother Munchers narrowly edged past WM Village with a hard-fought 1-0 win. This result kept the pressure on the rest of the teams vying for the top spot in the league.
The tightly contested match between Isnt It FC and 6 Men 1 Cup ended in a 1-1 draw, showcasing the level of competition in the Premier League division. Each team fought fiercely, proving that every point counts as we head into the final stretch of the season.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
