It was a fantastic evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed matches played.
In the featured Premier League, Branston Boys showed their mettle with a riveting 2-0 victory over Lolly McDs Army. The Boys demonstrated their superior skills, setting the tone for the rest of the night. However, it was not only Branston Boys who had a reason to celebrate. Mother Munchers also claimed a decisive victory, defeating Isn't It FC 2-0 in a match that saw them showcase their defensive prowess and offensive tenacity.
Arguably the most thrilling match of the night was between WM Village and Paralympiakos, a showdown that ended in a 5-2 victory for WM Village. Their frontman, James, rose to the occasion, scoring three out of the five goals, making him the top scorer of the Premier League division this week.
Meanwhile, The Lamb Inn FC and GAVS ARMY ended in a 1-1 standstill, a testament to the evenly matched talent of both teams.
We wish all teams good luck as we head into the next round of fixtures with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
