It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night for the first game of the new season.
It was a thrilling night of action that saw four teams in fierce competition. WM Village took on Branston Boys, but it was the Boys who emerged victorious, pulling off a close 3-2 win. The star of the night was George from Branston Boys, who proved instrumental in securing the win, scoring 2 masterful goals that topped the league's scorers for the week.
In another closely contested match, The Lamb Inn FC narrowly overcame Isnt It FC with a 2-1 victory. The clash was intriguing, with both teams displaying brilliant skills and setting the tone for the season ahead.
The night also witnessed a goal fest as GAVS ARMY ran riot against Lolly McDs Army with a comprehensive 7-0 victory. The team looked in stunning form, showcasing their championship-caliber play and setting a strong statement for the rest of the season.
Paralympiakos and Mother Munchers also took to the field, but it was a tough outing for Paralympiakos who were defeated 5-0 by the powerful Mother Munchers.
