Overall it was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exception being new team Colliery Lane who have confirmed they are good to start with us on Sunday 9th March, after some confusion amongst them RE kick off time.
The evening kicked off with a thrilling clash between the 6 Men 1 Cup and WM Village. The former dominated the game, romping to a 7-2 victory. The duo of precision and power exhibited by the 6 Men 1 Cup was a sight to behold, setting the tone for the remaining fixtures in the Premier League.
Next up was a goal fest between Isnt It FC and Paralympiakos. It was a nail-biting encounter that ended with Paralympiakos outscoring Isn't It FC, 6-4. The highlight of the match was the four goals scored by Isnt It FC's Hayden, who emerged as the Premier League's top scorer.
The final match of the Premier League saw Inter Ya Nan face Mother Munchers. The former completely dominated the game, sealing a 6-0 victory. The victory was an exemplary display of their attacking prowess, leaving their opponents chasing shadows throughout the match.
We welcome new team Kneel In The Bath Utd to the league on Sunday 9th March, they replace the outgoing WM Village, and we wish these good luck going into their debut game.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
