Sunday 5th January - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance barring Main Rats who disappointingly failed to attend, and failed to contact us, they have now been removed from the league.

In an electrifying series of matches, local team WM Village emerged victorious in the Premier League division. After a stunning performance last night, the team closed their season with a total of 22 points, amassing 11 wins in total, a testament to their consistent high-level play throughout the season. Their last victory came against Isnt It FC, where they triumphed with a score of 3-1, underscoring their dominance in the league.

Another notable match of the evening in the Premier League division was between The Lamb Inn FC and 6 Men 1 Cup. In a nail-biting encounter, 6 Men 1 Cup outscored The Lamb Inn FC with a final score of 5-3. Despite the loss, The Lamb Inn FC's Harry Rush made his mark as the top scorer in the division, netting a total of 3 goals in the match.

In a rather unexpected turn of events, the match between Charv and Paralympiakos ended in a goalless draw. Both teams displayed strong defensive skills, effectively cancelling each other out.
