Sunday 9th March - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week.  We were however disappointed to see another cancellation from Colliery Lane FC who have now been removed from the league with immediate effect.

We welcome new team Vivid FC to the league as a replacement for the above, and wish these good luck going into their first game on Sunday 16th March!

The battle between Inter Ya Nan and 6 Men 1 Cup ended in a gripping 1-1 draw. Despite a challenging match, both teams proved their mettle on the field, showcasing their skills and strategic acumen. Neither team was able to secure a definitive advantage, leaving fans on the edge of their seats and setting the stage for a riveting rematch in the future.

Meanwhile, Isnt It FC eked out a narrow 1-0 victory over Mother Munchers in a game that kept spectators in suspense until the very end. The tenacity and perseverance displayed by Isnt It FC demonstrated their drive to secure the top position, pushing the boundaries of the league's competitiveness.

In another exciting match, Paralympiakos secured a win against Charv with a score of 2-1. The player who stood out as the star of the week was undoubtedly Kuba from Paralympiakos. Defying the odds, Kuba managed to score a total of 2 goals, proving to be an invaluable asset to his team and the top scorer in the premier league division for the week.

Good luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
