Football fans across St Leonards-on-sea were treated to some thrilling action last night in week 8 of the exciting Sunday League. In the Premier League division, the games were hard-fought and the results reflected the competitive nature of the league.
WSFC managed a narrow victory against Beauport Massive FC, with a final score of 1-0. The evenly matched game kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the decisive goal was scored. Meanwhile, Chegnutts FC and CORY LOVERS ended in a 2-2 draw, indicating the closely contested battle that transpired on the field.
However, it was the Unions 80eight's ruthless performance against Barely Athletic FC that stole the show. They dominated the field and secured a decisive 4-0 victory. The star of the match was undoubtedly Joshua Richardson who managed to score two goals, topping the charts as the highest scorer of the Premier League division.
The honour of the most valued player of the week was bestowed upon Dan Sheppard from Unions 80eight. Outperforming his peers with his fantastic display on the field, Sheppard's skill and determination were instrumental in his team's victory.
This week's games have once again demonstrated the high quality of the teams participating in St Leonards-on-sea Sunday Football League. With every team showing great spirit and determination, we are looking forward to the next week's fixtures.
