In a nail-biting ninth week of the St Leonards-on-sea Wednesday Football league, the competition heated up in the Premier League division. Fans were treated to an exhibition of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship as the teams battled for dominance on the pitch.

Petr Cech Your Pants clinched a decisive 2-0 victory against the Basque Boys, while the Union STL edged out the Invincibles in a closely contested match with a final score of 1-0. The UTP All Stars triumphed over Garbage, pulling off an exciting 3-2 win, and Brasilia managed to hold their ground, securing a 1-0 win over Site Bashers.

Amidst the electrifying league matches, individual performances were not left unnoticed. The top scorer in the Premier League division was Freddie Bransby-Zachary of the team Garbage. Despite his team's loss, Bransby-Zachary managed to net a remarkable total of 2 goals, further cementing his status as a potent force on the field.

However, the most shining star of the week was undoubtedly Ben Hollingsworth of UTP All Stars. His impressive performance and overall contribution to his team's victory led him to be recognized as the Most Valued Player of the week. Excelling in both offensive and defensive areas, Hollingsworth demonstrated why he is considered one of the key players in the league.
