In what seemed like our first proper sunny evening of football at The Vyne School, turned out to be yet again another successful evening!
Lets get down to the excitement from our Monday league at The Vyne School.
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
The team of the week this week could have gone to 2 different teams, both of which winning their games by some margin and both deservedly at the top of the table, neck and neck fighting for the title. The battle for team of the week was between Sperm Tour and Athletico Pathetico, but walking away with the bragging rights this week had to be Sperm Tour. Not only did Sperm Tour knock the league leaders off the top spot with a very comfortable 7-0 win, but their main man James Hudson was as usual, in inspired form. If there was a goal, he was in involved, either an interception and breaking up his opponents attack, a key pass to start his own counter attack or even a goal himself. Sperm Tour dominated most areas of the pitch and just showed such high intensity throughout the entire game, not really giving their opponents much hope of getting back into it. You'd never believe these guys don't even have an official goal keeper, just taking it in turns to go in goal, incredible!
PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM AWARDS!
Michal Borbely - Thanks for points - Michal just doing what he does best and doing it the best on the pitch, such a goal threat and watch winner.
Keith Dickins - Rough n ready - There are few better clinical finishers in the league than Keith, who rarely doesn't get on the score sheet. More importantly, few players with more goals on the score sheet than Keith.
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
2 Goals 1 Cup had to take it this week. Not only did they get their first win of the season, but they also did it in style with a 7-1 win. What a way to get your first league win! The captain also proving to be hugely important in their first win and walking away with a MOTM performance and bagging himself a couple of goals. Lets hope this is a sign of what's to come from Stefan Grahams team with a bit of momentum and I'm sure a massive moral boost for them. They really showed what they are capable of from this game, so lets hope they can carry this form into their next fixture.
DIVISION ONE MOTM!
Nick Bundy - Stroke Titty - Nick was crucial for his team at the back in a game that would separate the early title contenders in a must win game.
