Let's catch up on the new seasons first week of fixtures from Monday night. Let's find out how our new teams got on in their first brand new season with Leisure Leagues.
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
Our first team of the week needs to be awarded to Benteke Fired Chicken - These guys started the campaign with us in excellent form and it appears have managed to carry that through into this current season, managing a 5-1 win over a very difficult opponent. These guys are very well known already by the referees and opposition teams as a top team in the league and one that everyone wants to beat, so we are excited to see how they do against our previous top teams. MOTM in this guys goes to their gaffer, who keeps putting in the shift, as this is not his first MOTM award and im very certain it won't be his last of the season.
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
This weeks team of the week for the lower division is going to go to My little bony, who are actually a team formed from individual players that were all really keen to get playing but didn't necessarily have the 5 other players they'd need to start a team of their own. However, these players all got in contact with Leisure Leagues and we were able to put them all together to form this brand new team, a team of complete strangers that are now playing football together on a weekly basis. They have managed to gain their first point in their first game of the season. Playing well enough as a team to take a point from the game so early on in their teams campaign is a massive positive to take from the game, especially against a team that have been playing with us for many seasons now. Just remember, just because you don't have a team of your own, doesn't mean you cannot play!
DIVISION ONE MOTM!
Ben Rogers - PICKnMIX fc - Since Ben's former team collapsed at the end of last season, he has managed to swap team and continue to play and most importantly, continue the impressive form he found himself in last season already notching his first MOTM.
Cameron Blake - The Jammie Dodgers - Cameron has really made himself a key player to this team and was a huge part of the teams victory on Monday night. These guys are really starting to show what they are capable of.
