Another season comes to an end, so let's get the latest from The Vyne school!
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
They couldn't quite last the whole season with a 100% winning rate but to get as close as they did is extremely impressive! We knew a couple of weeks ago the 2 Goals 1 Cup would be league champions and also looked to complete the unbeatable perfect record, but it wasn't to be. What an incredible first season they've had with us, beating our previous league champions in the title race by 7 points! The biggest question is if they manage to keep up this kind of form into their second season.
PREMIER LEAGUE RUNNERS UP!
As mentioned above, Athletico Pathetico claimed runners up spot this season but only just beating Parisganjan on goal difference. These guys have defiantly established themselves as one of the best teams the league has ever had by consistently finishing the season near or at the top of the table and every season they've been with us, they've been one of the title contenders. More to the point, they are the exact team us at Leisure Leagues would want, always there, always fair and easy to referee and of course a great competitor, let's hope we continue to see them for many seasons to come!
DIVISION ONE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
ABCDE FC have FINALLY been promoted to the higher division from where they came once upon a time. They dug deep in the second half of this season and really fought their way to the top, which wasn't an easy ride for them, but they continued to churn out winning results towards the end, found their consistency and refused to take their hand off that trophy that they believed was so rightfully theirs. Worthy league champions in the end and a team I really hope can once again prove itself in the higher division.
DIVISION ONE RUNNERS UP!
Man chest hair united improve once more this season! Although they weren't able to be promoted due to many changes in the leagues teams, this runners up medal will surely push them to go for gold next season and push for promotion by being crowned league champions. They have made one or two new signing that have massively helped, certainly by giving them a consistent quad each week but also massively improved ability to help the team. I predict big things for these guys next season!
PLAYER OF THE SEASON!
Cameron Blake will be crowned Leisure Leagues player of the season for The Vyne school. Cam has been a stand out player for his team this season and was often picked up by his opponents as a danger man. His main trait was he dribbling... the boy could really get around a player without much fuss, he wasn't half bad at scoring either to be fair!
