Division one couldn't be any tighter!

Division one is very tight as we finish week 5 and any position is up for grabs with just 3 points seperating 7th-1st. 

The Premier league isn't quite as tight with 2 Goals 1 Cup still sitting at the top of the table and 2 points clear of positions 2nd and 3rd.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Athletico Pathetico had to steal it this week and that is purely because this was a big game for them and a must win game against their rivals on equivalent points, so anything but a win would see their hope of retaining the title increase to a 4 point gap. Their opponents in this game were well known as a tough team to beat and one capable of beating any team, so to beat these guys would've been a huge momentum boost for Mr Hartwell and his team!

PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM AWARDS!

Merson Webb - 2 goals 1 cup - These guys played a friendly due to being against a points match and Merson really decided to show up for it. He was just banging goals in for fun and just generally being annoying for his opponents in front of goal.

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

This week it goes to Man Chest Hair United in the lower division for their current form and to be the only team in their division to remain unbeaten. The referee tells me that they really put in a shift to keep their unbeaten record and very much deserved the win. One man specifically that comes to mind is their MOTM on the night Alexander David, who worked his socks off in the middle of the park. The referee tells me that he was full of running, commanding his team at all times and just generally being the captain they needed on the night. A very positive run of form for these guys, who struggled at the bottom end of the table last season.
