That’s it, another season at The Vyne School has come to an end...
Let’s find out who our winners are...
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
Of course 2 Goals 1 Cup are our league champions yet again. This is their 4th season with us now and their 3rd consecutive season as league champions. This is also the first season in which they’ve suffered a loss, which they finished with 2 losses and a draw in their worst season to date, but lets just appreciate just how good these guys are every week and have been for 3 and a half seasons now, always just a clear level above the rest, very far ahead at the top of the league table, finishing 5 points clear!
PREMIER LEAGUE RUNNERS UP!
Real Bannas have come into this mid season and really stolen the show. These guys joined the league on may 10th and since then have won every game to climb from the bottom of the league, right up to snatch league runners up position. I look forward to seeing what they can achieve when they start a fresh season and haven’t got to play catchup. I am sure league runners up is only the beginning for these guys!
PREMIER LEAGUE GOLDEN BOOT!
James Hartwell - Athletico Pathetico - James is very known for his left footed finishing ability in this league and has become one of the most prolific goal scorers in the league, now winning multiple golden boot awards, far more than any other player and more than deserved!
DIVISION ONE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
Man Chest Hair United have finally worked their way to the top after 7 seasons in the bottom division to now be able to claim the league champions position and gain promotion to the higher division. Its been a very slow work in progress for them but it will certainly be interesting to see how they cope amongst the much improved standard. Theres plenty of excitement but also anxiety about the promotion...
LEAGUE RUNNERS UP!
Six offenders will claim the division one runners up spot, even after missing the last 2 weeks due to covid! These are another team that have been building confidence as the season have progressed and as a result, secured league runners up. These guys have very much deserved the runners up position, especially with their steady progress over their previous seasons. I can definitely see these guys going for the league title next season!
DIVISION ONE GOLDEN BOOT!
For the first time ever, we’ve finished the season in the lower division with joint top goal scorers, Both Bailey Foster and Liam Cook recorded 26 goals for the season, so this will be settled the only way it ever should be...a good old fashioned cross bar challenge!
PLAYER OF THE SEASON!
Liam Cook for Astroworldies stole the show all season with his consistent performances. A season totalling 5 MOTM awards was enough to put Liam right on top of the leader board and be crowned the “Most valuable player of the season” AKA- the undroppable one! Watching a couple of Liams performances, its clear to see why he is praised by the referee so highly each game
