Monday 11th February update!

Its Monday 11th February and we are back!

Thanks to the snow, the league was cancelled last week, but all is good as we have returned and will be at The Vyne School 8-10pm as per normal next week.

Firstly! our Monday night league is set to extend from 8 teams to 12 teams next Monday (18th), which is obviously very exciting and we looking forward to meeting all our new teams.

Now onto the entertainment!

This weeks team of the week had to go to THANKS FOR POINTS, these guys just don't seem beatable. Their opponents biggest problem is keeping tabs on their main man in the middle of the park Michal Borbely, this guy just doesn't have a bad game! every week he is up and down the pitch, collecting the ball from his defenders and driving his team on the attack. Michal can dribble like Messi, so getting the ball from him is no easy task, his shooting isn't half bad either. I can't give all the credit to Michal though, his team are very organised, mostly defensively. You'll never see them get caught on the counter attack and they really put a shift in, the stamina on these guys is really special. Its most certainly not by luck that they are joint top of the table. I would have to say that they are the most organised team in the league currently and only missed out on another win in the dying moments of the game when ABCDE FC (their opponents) tried their luck with a long ball and a tasty volleyed finish worked out very nicely seconds before the final whistle, keeping them joint top of the table.

The other individuals that were impressive on the night and caught the referees eye - 

Nathan Boucher - Shitzerland - Nathan played a massive part In his teams performance, ensuring their opponents Athletico Pathetico didn't grab the win and the leagues top spot.

Scott Elliot - Man Chest Hair United - Scott was everywhere in this game, taking on his man and 9/10 beating him, receiving the ball from his defenders and just going on mad runs, which at one point ended in an insane finish in the top corner.

James Hudson - Sperm tour - James is becoming a frequent winner of MOTM these days and is putting in consistent good performances. He's strong and has a bullet of a shot, making him a nightmare to play against.
