WE ARE BACK AGAIN!
No more bank holidays to bother us either, so let's get back to our weekly 6 a side football and get stuck straight into our weekly update from The Vyne School.
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
The decision was made to award the prestigious weekly honour of 'Team of the week' this week to our current league leaders 'Sherborne masters'. This was a week of fixtures where, if all results went in their favour, the league top spot would once again be theirs and as luck would have it, exactly that happened! When I told Philip Case that his team have earned a place in the Premier league, he was not entirely convinced they would be able to keep up with the fast paced younger players, well Philip, after a very convincing 6-1 win against a "younger team" and a very energetic one at that, you've reclaimed your place at the top of the league and I'm sure, answered any doubts you previously had about your team. Sherbourne Masters are a team that have discovered that organisation means much less running, though this hasn't effected any of their work rate, as every single one of them really puts a shift in for their team. Lets see how Sherborne cope against their biggest rivals in a fight to become league champions next week, as they go head to head with 2nd place Atheltico Pathetico. Sherborne have really impressed in their first season in the league so far and we hope it continues.
PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM AWARDS!
Joshua Chapman - Sperm Tour - Joshua receives his first MOTM of the season in a game where it mattered and probably one of the biggest games of their season. The best players turn up when it really matters!
Ross Barber - Rough n Ready - Ross played a massive part in his teams win, which would have had a much more competitive score if it wasn't for his superb one-on-one goalkeeping when it mattered on the counter attack.
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
Team of the week this week had to go to 2 Goals 1 Cup. With a scoreline of 8-0, it would have been very unfair to not award them with 'team of the week', especially as this win helps them leapfrog their opponents Chicken Tikka Mo Sala into 5th place. This win will also be a massive moral boost for Stefan Graham and his team after a disappointing lose in their last match and being the underdogs going into this game. The scoreline just goes to show what these guys can do and how destructive they can be when they are in the mood, lets hope they can continue this form going forward.
DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!
Scott Elliot - Man Chest hair United - Yet again Scott was in the mood to be the bright spark on the pitch and provided ANOTHER MOTM performance for his team in a close but very important win for his team.
Dalton Berry - Who ate all depays - Dalton was hugely important in his teams performance during a very close 1-0 win. His energy was vital for his team!
