In the Premier League, relegation is already decided, so now we wait to see who will claim the champions position and who will have to settle for runners up, as it now appears to be down to just 2 teams, both on 18 points, with only goal difference separating them.
In Division One however, things are looking much different. Division one champions have already been decided, with Stroke Titty 9 points clear at the top of the league, we now just wait to see who will claim the other promotion position and end the season runners up, with only 1 point separating positions 2nd-5th, this will be very interesting!
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
This week we had to award team of the week to Sperm Tour, this was firstly for the way they played, ensuring a comfortable win and secondly, that this was a MUST win game for them and any dropped points will almost certainly be punished but Tea & Busquets, who are extremely hot on their heels and ready to make the most of any possible *cough* slips ups *cough* that they might have. LUCKILY that didn't happen and thanks to yet another top class performance and comfortable 6-3 win, they take the fight for Premier League champions all the way to the end of the season. One guy that really did not just allow this to happen the easy way was Michal Borbely. Week in Week out, Michal really turns up for his team and puts in a MOTM performance, he is a player I'm pretty sure they just could not risk losing, as I've mentioned previously, he is just consistently brilliant and extremely effect in the middle of the park, collecting the ball to feet and just going round players like they aren't even attempting to tackle him. As good as Michal is, even he isn't enough to stop James Hudson and his men on their mission to become the first team to win Consecutive league titles.
PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM!
Sam Belcher - ABCDE FC - As I mentioned previously, sam has struggled this season with consistency, especially in comparison to his previous season, but with his first Back-to-back MOTM performances in some time, has he found his form again ready to take into in the next season, judging by his recent performances, I certainly think so!
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
We decided to award BNP Paribas with Team of the week this week, this was because with all the action going on at the top end of the table, these guys were also still in a battle to stay in the 'safe zone' of the table, especially this week when they faced the only team capable of risking their safety, who were sitting below them by only 4 points and a loss would decrease that to a worrying 2 points, a one game cushion im sure they would be keen to increase to a much more relaxing 6 points, providing they managed to get the win and a win they did! A narrow 2-1win shows just how competitive this game was and how close Will Banks and his team were to Dropping some vital points in the fight to stay in the 'safe zone'. BNP did deserve the win, they were compact and defended respectively well throughout the game, but if they could've created and finished a few more of their chances, they might have looked a little more comfortable. A great result and a finishing position in the league im sure they can be proud of, with the potential to push for an even higher spot now there is only 2 points between them and 4th place.
DIVISION ONE MOTM!
Scott Elliott - Man Chest Hair United - Yet again Scott proving what he can do when he turns on the style. A very similar player to Michal Borbely in the way the ball is glued to his feet and his low centre of gravity makes his acceleration and dribbling untouchable.
Tayo Ray - Stroke Titty - Tayo is brilliant with the ball at his feet, he also rarely misses when put in front of goal. Going forward he is a massive threat and so far, one the opposition defenders just can't deal with, so lets see how the higher league defences cope!
