We were back again on Monday evening  with a fresh new season!

A new season also means teams being promoted or relegated and a change of faces in both divisions, so let’s find out how it all went...

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Our division one champions would have been thinking highly of themselves after their promotion and spending their first season in the top division wanting to get off to a good start, but our team of the week swiftly brought them back down to earth in a VERY convincing 8-2 slaughter. These guys are without doubt title contenders and have shown on numerous occasions that they are a top, top side, most recently handing our league champions their 2nd ever defeat in 4 seasons. It will take something very special to stop them...

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

What a start to the season The lampposts have had! As far as first games of the season go, an 8-0 demolishing doesn’t get much better! These guys have really seen some massive improvement over the course of their debut season and as we are now seeing, are really hitting a strong run of form. These guys are also looking likely as strong title contenders and one we will be keeping tabs on with their progress!

DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!

Lewis Windebank - Smoke Swuad - Lewis was a different class on Monday night, which Is shown from his hattrick he grabbed in his teams 5-3 win. Starting the season strong!

Cavan Cook - The lampposts fc - Cavan found the form of his life last night, putting it past the keeper 4 times and just being in a league of his own. He really didn’t give the referee any other choice!

Ben Condliffe - Wasted talent - Ben was hugely important to his team last night, as without him and his 2 goals, the game ends goalless and all square. Undroppable last night!
