I know I know, we missed out a week of league updates and we are very sorry for that, but we are back now and ready to fill you in with what happened in Monday nights 6-a-side at The Vyne School.
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
This week we felt Athletico Pathetico should hold their heads high as the leagues team of week. James Hartwell and his men have started the season very well and so far have a 100% win record, also pushing them 2 points clear of 2nd place. With the division being so competitive, any dropped points are nearly always punished and are likely to result in a drop down the league table. Athletico are very aware of this and in their quest to become league champions, made sure they churned out another impressive victory. They have always been known as one of 'the teams to beat' and this season is shows that they mean business. When Athletico turn up with their strongest starting 6, they are right up there as worthy league champions and for sure, one of the best teams in the league, so let's hope they can continue this winning run and show us all what they are capable of.
PREMIER LEAGUE MOTMS AWARDS!
Tom Vincent - 2 Goals 1 Cup - Tom is a massive part of the success of this team. He is vocal, very commanding at the back and one of those annoying defenders thats just always in the way. Superb individual display from him!
James Hudson - Sperm Tour - Im running out of things to say about this guy...Everyone should just see the name and know what to expect. The work rate is second to none, which is something he punished his opponents with and scored 2 goals with intense pressing.
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
Who Ate All Depays could be an unstoppable force this season. They had their biggest and toughest game of season on Monday against Man Chest Hair United, who are likely to be their rivals this season and they simply eased past them with a 7-3 win. They have managed to end their previous issues of struggling for players every week after joining forces with Stroke Titty and now these guys look like title contenders for sure. Im very interested to see how their season goes, but it looks extremely promising. Dalton Berry had a very good individual performance and is right up there along side James Hudson with his work rate, the guy just doesn't stand still, ever! He is guaranteed to be helping his team defend and attack throughout the entire match, his relentless running is just impossible to deal with.
With no MOTM awards being awarded this week in Division one, it shows how many players are missing their player cards. Be sure to receive your MOTM award and potentially win 'Player of the season', which involves winning some great prizes
