Week 2 is a success!

Week 2 was of course another successful night as we move deeper into the new season.

This week we also introduced our new award 'Golden boot'. Not every team has participated but as the weeks go on but we are trying to introduce it as quickly and efficiently as possible to give everyone a fair chance of winning it. What is it? simply score the most goals in the league and be rewarded for it. How do I win it? simply tell the referee your name after you score and it will uploaded to the league page online.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Team of the week will have to go to Tadley Tigers again. These guys have really hit the ground running in this league. They started the season with a very convincing 7-2 victory and then this week manage to hold our league runners up to a 2-2 draw and everyone knows how tough of an opponent Athletico are, who I promised I would mention the captains wonder goal just as I walked past the pitch - long ball from the back, over the top and straight onto his weaker foot for a lovely volleyed finish, leaving the keeper no chance, also showing us that he can use his right foot after all! Anyway, this is about Luke Allaston and his men of their mighty impressive start to the league, who have especially caught the eye of eye referees!

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

This week it will go to Astroworldies, who have kept up their 100% winning run of the season after winning 5-3 on Monday night to get themselves top of the league. I can't help but feel that this could be their season for promotion. Every season that has gone on I've seen them improve and now they are sitting pretty as the best in the league, which I wouldn't disagree with either. Finally got themselves a good consistent starting 7 and its really starting to show!
