What a first season!

WHAT A SEASON FINALE!!

And thats it, the first season at the vyne school has now come to an end. Our first ever league winners, league runners up, player of the season and bottom of the league have all been announced.

Firstly, we must shout from the roof tops and thank our league staff for working hard every week to make the league as big and successful as it is today, without these guys, the league cannot run as smoothly, professionally and organised as it does, so a massive thank you to Kyle, Stuart, Jordan and Mick!

Now onto the teams! don't worry, you guys aren't exempt from our appreciation either. The league has grown to full capacity and gained the excellent reputation It has because of you guys. From teams arriving for kick off times early, always being ready and reliable and of course, most of all, having fun, which is what we do it for. Word of mouth is spreading and our waiting list is growing, which is all down to you guys creating the kind of  atmosphere that people want to play football in.

OK, enough of that, now lets get down to the exciting bit!

PLAYER OF THE SEASON!

Gideon Vallence - Gideon has been Outstanding throughout his time for his team this season and at one point was winning MOTM nearly every game. very well deserved I feel, hopeful he can continue this form into next season.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There really can only be one team of the week here. These boys started the season very shaky and looked a far weaker team of their former selves, but slowly and surely, they brought their top form back and pulled off quite the remarkable ending to the season. Of course I'm talking about Sperm Tour! These guys slowly climbed their way up the table to create a very entertaining last game of the season. it all came down to winner takes all, with just 1 point separating current league leaders ( Athletico pathetico) and sperm tour on the last game of the season it has to be said, Athletico have been the most consistently good team of the season and have held onto top of the division for most of it, so it was very unfair that their season ended in a runners up position. My opinion would have been that they deserved to be crowned champions, purely based on their entire season and how impressive they've been as a team throughout, but it wasn't to be and sperm tour just managed to turn on the style when it mattered. A man that really showed up and produced one of his best performances of the season was sperm tours main man, James Hudson. James is always such a great link between defence and attack and spends a lot of time with the ball at his feet just driving his team forward, with so much energy and strength. This performance was very MOTM worthy!

MOTM AWARDS FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE!

Harvey west - ABCDE FC - Harvey is always such a dangerous attacking player, he's always just everywhere you wouldn't want him as an opposing player and nearly always bags himself a goal or 2.

Nathan Boucher - Shitzerland - Nathan is another player that is just everywhere on the pitch and always making himself a nuisance.

Michal Borbely - THANKS FOR POINTS - Michal is a very frequent MOTM award receiver for his team. he has very quick feet, deadly finishing and always puts in a shift for his team.

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Now there could have been a couple of teams to win 'team of the week' this week, with some high scoring games. for me though, team of the week had to go to Sherbourne Masters. The reason for this was how these guys have improved over the weeks and in a game where winning would make them leap frog their opponents and claim a runners up position, they did it in style and came away with a 7-0 win as the underdogs to achieve just that. These guys have continued to improve week after week and are slowly becoming title contenders for next season. lets see how they progress in the higher division.

MOTM AWARDS FOR DIVISION 1

Keith Dickins - Rough n Ready - What can I say about Keith other than I warned you....if you let him even look at the goal with the ball at his feet, you WILL be restarting the game after the keeper has picked the ball out of his own net.
