In an exhilarating week of football, the Brierley Hill Thursday 6-a-side Football League kicked off its new season, with a host of teams competing in two divisions, the Premier League and Division 1.

We did have one team give their 7 days notice for this week to cancel their game, We look forward to welcoming Coombs Wood Unathletic back next Thursday. If you do have any dates for holidays please make sure you inform your area manager.

The Premier League saw the 'The Boy In Striped Wanyamas' in fine form as they trounced 'Bellies Boys The Sequel' in an outstanding victory. The other match in the division was a closely contested face-off between 'Hakuna Juan-Mata' and 'Exeter Gently', with the latter sealing a narrow 4-3 win.

Over in Division 1, 'You Spin Me Joel Round' kicked things off with a commanding 4-1 victory over 'Blue Ballers'. Elsewhere in Division 1, 'Borussia Monchenglassback' humbled 'Past It' with a 4-0 win, while 'Here 4 A Pint After FC' enjoyed a victory over 'Kford & Co.'
