BRIERLEY HILL WEDNESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 14TH DECEMBER

All the latest news for the Brierley Hill Wednesday 6-a-side League direct from Thorns Collegiate Academy.

A brilliant first night of the season in the Brierley Hill Wednesday 6-a-side League. 

Unfortunately, there was one non-attendance as 'Spartacus' were unable to field a team on the night. They have already confirmed there return to league when we return after the Christmas break. It is paramount all teams are at the league each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any problems then please be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of time.

The game of the week this week goes to the closely fought game between 'Inter Bred FC' and 'Bunch of Bricks', a close and tight affair between two teams that will run each other close again this season. It was 'Inter Bred FC' who came away with the 1-0 win in the end and therefore start the defence of the title in their best way possible. Next up for them is 'Sub-Standard Liege' so we look forward to seeing who can continue their winning starts.

Team of the week this week are early league leaders 'Man Markers'. A fine performance after the first week means they are the ones to watch even at this early stage. Can they keep this going as they season starts to settle in?

Please remember that the league is off now for two weeks to celebrate the Christmas break, so the league returns Wednesday 4th January 2023!
