Play in the Brierley Hill Wednesday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
In the thrilling opening week of the new season of the Brierley Hill Wednesday 6-a-side football league, spectators were treated to a series of high-scoring and intense matches.
Unfortunately, we did have a non-attendance on the night, Any Holes A Goal were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for next Wednesday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
We did also have one team give their 7 days notice for this week to cancel their game, We look forward to welcoming Gangsters Allardyce back on Wednesday. If you do have any dates for holidays please make sure you inform your area manager.
In the Premier League division, Redz On Stedz made a resounding statement of intent, thrashing Goobz FC with a impressive victory. Wrens Nest also made a strong start to the season, outplaying DY8 All The Pies with a 4-1 victory.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the matches were equally competitive and high-scoring. Six On The Beach put on a dominant performance, mercilessly beating Pathetico Madrid. Real Soso Bad and King Julians Merry Men shared points in an 8-goal thriller that ended 4-4. Choir Boys FC and Black Country Bullets also started the season on a high note, with big wins over Cltr Alt Deligt and Kingsway FC, respectively.
As the season progresses, football fans can undoubtedly look forward to even more exciting and intense games in the following weeks. If the opening week is anything to go by, the competition in both the Premier League and Division 1 will be intense, and we can expect more noteworthy performances from our top players.
