In week nine of the Brierley Hill Wednesday 6 a side Football League, both Premier League and Division 1 demonstrated dynamic matches that brought the crowd to their feet.

Unfortunately there was an incident on the night as a card had to be issued to a player. A player from Six On The Beach has been banned for two weeks and fined £20 due to adopting aggressive nature towards a referee during the game between Six On The Beach and Redz On Stedz on the night, which the area manager has dealt with. This incident will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each time they happen as it is not the league we want to promote at the venue.

Unfortunately, we did have a non-attendance on the night, Queens Park Strangers were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for next Wednesday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.

The Premier League matches started with a nail-biting face-off between King Julians Merry Men and DY8 All The Pies. The latter took the victory with a 3-1 score, a testament to their strategic defence and lively attack. The excitement continued as Pique Blinders dominated the pitch against Real Ale Madrid, securing an impressive win. Finally, Redz On Stedz drew 1-1 to Six On The Beach.

Division 1 also had its share of exciting play. A tense match between Choir Boys FC and Scudu Without Scudu saw the latter snatch a victory with a 2-1 score. 

As we look forward to the next week's matches, it's clear that Brierley Hill Wednesday Football League continues to provide an exciting atmosphere of competition and camaraderie. The teams will need to retain their momentum if they wish to climb or remain at the top of their respective divisions. Stay tuned for more action.
