5 a side Abingdon Monday roundup

A good evening of 5 a side down at Tilsley Park Abingdon with all teams in attendance.

At the top of the Premier League Hadland Rovers had their lead cut to just one point with 2 matches remaining after a 11-3 defeat to FCUOB. New Era are the team in second place, they beat Cunning Stunts 11-3 to give their title hopes a boost. In other results new boys Scorgasm had a comfortable opening night, winning 10-1 against another new side Chubby Goons. Finally in the closest encounter in the division Coopers Troopers won 4-3 against 3rd place Club Tropicana Drinks FC.

In Div 1 Victorious Street all but secured the title with a 5-1 win over Hardly Athletic to go 4 points clear with a far superior goal difference to second place Substandard Liege, however Liege are also in a great position to secure promotion as they won 4-2 against 4th place Savills. In other matches Bunch of Bench Warmers had a big 11-1 win over Crixus while Survey Monkeys secured a welcome 2-1 win over Pique Blinders to lift them off the bottom.
