Abingdon 5 a side Monday results round up!

Thank you to all teams at our Abingdon Monday 5 a side league. We had a four teams away this week but everyone still got a game and there was plenty of league matches taking place with the Premier League title race to close to call at this stage.

The new leaders in the Prem are Hadland Rovers who defeated previous winners Club Tropicana 5-1 to move to the top of the table. Coopers Troopers move into second as they knocked Fruity Spartans off the top with a 8-2 win over the leaders at the start of play. Club Tropicana sit in fourth now but the title is still wide open with only 2 points separating the top four. 

In Div 1 the promotion race is just as close as leaders FCUOB beat Cunning Stunts 9-3 to stay two points clear of Substandard Liege and Shlong Hanborough FC who both had points match wins to keep up the pressure on FCUOB. In other results there was a 8-3 victory for Basically Barca over Pique Blinders FC while Savills beat new team TASS 8-2 to stay 4th in the table.
