Abingdon 5 a side Monday so close at the top

A great night of 5 a side in Abingdon last night as the teams took to the pitches and provided some entertaining football as the season approaches it's conclusion.

Hadland Rovers remain top of the Premier League table as they narrowly defeated Victorious Secret 2-1 to keep that 2 point gap in tact. Fruity Spartans moved back into the top two with a 10-4 win over Class On Grass. There was a big match taking place just below as Club Tropicana Drinks FC secured an excellent win over Coopers Troopers to get themselves back in the mix at the top. The two other results in the Prem saw Bunch Of Bench Warmers win 7-2 against new side SWXI while Hardly Athletic beat Young Guard 5-2.

There doesn't look to be any stopping FCUOB in Div 1 as they march on towards the title, winning 11-0 last night against Tass. In second place are Shlong Hanborough FC who had a far tougher assignment in order to stay in touch with the leaders as they beat Expected Toulouse 4-3. Still in with a chance of promotion are Substandard Liege who remain a couple of points behind Shlong, last night they played out an end to end encounter with Savills winning 7-5. Finally Basically Barca had a 4-3 win over Cunning Stunts while Pique Blinders had a points match win due to Survey Monkeys being away, we should see Survey Monkeys returning to the league on the 7th Sept.
