In an explosive conclusion to the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side football league, the final week of the season brought a stirring display of talent, skill and passion from all participating teams. Week 18 proved to be the most pivotal and decisive week of the season.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Wood A Lot, the ultimate victors, showcased their domination with an outstanding scoreline of 12-7 against Intayanan in their final game, securing their league victory with 29 points and an impressive 14 wins. Their powerful performance throughout the season can be attributed to their sharp shooting, tactical prowess and tight-knit team cohesion.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, Leave My Arcelona despite their slim 3-2 loss to Been About It FC they finished their season to with an impressive total of 31 points and 15 victories. Despite fierce competition, their knack for finding the back of the net and steadfast determination saw them secure their place at the top of the table. Only Put Matip In also sealed promotion as runners up with a 13-0 win in their final game against AgeDoesntMata
DIVISION THREE
Division 3 witnessed a thrilling showdown, with Rejects FC narrowly edging out Kick It In The Net-ics with a 3-2 victory to seal the title on goal difference. With a total of 28 points and 13 victories, Rejects FC were able to secure their triumph in the division. Their commitment to attacking play and resilience in defence proved to be the winning formula, scoring 98 goals this season. Expected Toulouse just miss out on the title but secure promotion, winning the final game 6-4 against Casuals, a fantastic title race!
The Abingdon Monday League has once again proven to be a thrilling contest of skill and determination, with teams across all divisions putting forth impressive performances. The season may be over, but the memories of these exciting matches will linger on. Congratulations to all the winners and we eagerly anticipate an equally exciting next season!

Thank you to all our players and team captains, it's not always easy getting a side out especially over August but overall for this time of year attendance figures have been excellent so thank you again for your efforts.
