Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 16

As we approach the last two weeks of Abingdon Monday Football League after the Xmas break, the competition across all divisions continues to heat up.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, Keown's Own secured a hard-fought victory against The High 5 last night, winning 5-3 in a thrilling match. The Six Offenders managed to hold their ground against Only Put Matip In, scoring a comfortable 5-2 victory. However, the biggest scoreline of the night came from The Broad Beans, who outclassed Local Benchwarmers with a staggering 13-1 victory. Rounding up Division 1's results, Ange Summers fell to FC Unts, with a final score of 7-3.

DIVISION TWO

Shifting focus to Division 2 where we did have 3 teams away this week, however Expected Toulouse FC found themselves on the losing side against Pathetico Madrid, who outscored them 6-2. The highlight of the division was the impressive display by Intayanan, who scored an overwhelming nine goals against Cunning Stunts, who could only manage to put two past them.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, Optek Utd edged past She Was Only XI with a score of 2-1. Xavi Dodgers defeated Survey Monkeys 9-2, showing their dominance on the field. Schofields U15s were narrowly beaten by Fiorentina Turner in a 3-2 thriller. Casuals kept a clean sheet with a 4-0 victory over Bumfica while leaders His Mind FC outplayed Hardly Athletic with a score of 6-2.

As the season winds down, we look forward to coming back after the two week Christmas break to see where the titles are heading. Enjoy the break and see you in the New Year!
