In an electrifying display of skill and competition, week four of the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side football league was held last night, resulting in some decisive victories and fierce competition across all divisions.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Cunning Stunts dominated Intayanan with a 7-1 win, stamping their authority on the game. The Six Offenders, maintaining their offensive prowess, outlasted Only Put Matip In, scoring a stunning 10 goals to their opponent's 4. However, the highlight of the division was the game between The Broad Beans and Royal Madrid, with Royal Madrid emerging victorious with a 5-3 scoreline.
DIVISION TWO
The lone match in Division 2 saw a one-sided encounter with the Pablo Escoballers defeating the Local Benchwarmers 13-2, showcasing their strategic prowess and athletic supremacy.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Expected Toulouse FC put up a tremendous performance, defeating Fiorentina Turner with a 5-1 scoreline. The Sons Of Pitches and Pathetico Madrid also delivered impressive performances, winning their respective matches against His Mind FC (5-2) and Only Fools And Forklifts (7-3).
DIVISION FOUR
Division 4 was rife with competition, with Optek Utd outscoring Xavi Dodgers 7-2, and a nail-biting finish to the game between BarcaBoneHer and Tescos Finest, ending 6-5 in favour of BarcaBoneHer.
DIVISION FIVE
In Division 5, AgeDoesntMata and Bumfica saw a deadlock with a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Survey Monkeys outperformed Casuals with a 3-1 victory and Matty And The Colonisers demonstrated a stunning display of skill against Hardly Athletic, winning 7-2.
The teams have undoubtedly set the bar high for the upcoming weeks of the league. With such a thrilling week behind us, we eagerly await the upcoming clashes.
