Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 9

In a thrilling ninth week of action in the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side football league, the competition heated up across all three divisions, with numerous teams vying for the top spots in their respective leagues.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the night kicked off with The Broad Beans narrowly overcoming Lighthouse FC with a 3-2 victory, showing their dominance in a tightly contested match. Beast FC, on the other hand, had a field day against Keowns Own, sweeping the game with an impressive 11-2 scoreline. The Six Offenders also made their presence felt, handing Local Benchwarmers a 11-1 defeat. Wrapping up Division 1, FC Unts emerged victorious against Royal Madrid, scoring 4 goals to Madrid's 2.

DIVISION TWO

As for Division 2, Gorking Wanderers and Cunning Stunts were neck and neck, but Cunning Stunts pulled ahead with a 6-4 victory to go top of the table. Expected Toulouse FC fell to Only Kruls And Horses in a close 3-2 game. Intayanan outlasted Rejects FC with a 7-3 score and Pathetico Madrid dominated AgeDoesntMata, winning 14-1 in a stunning performance.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3 we had some very tight games, Hardly Athletic and Survey Monkeys were evenly matched, ending in a 4-4 draw. Casuals just edged past Xavi Dodgers 4-3 in a close encounter. Kick It In The Net-ics were defeated 4-3 by Fiorentina Turner and Bumfica beat Schofields U15s with a convincing 6-2 scoreline. Leaders His Mind FC were narrowly beaten by She Was Only XI in a tense 3-2 match.

As we move into week 10, it's clear that the fight for the top spot in each division is far from over. We look forward to another week of exciting football action in the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side league.
