New Abingdon Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

The much-anticipated kick-off of the Abingdon Monday Football League did not disappoint, as teams across five divisions put on a thrilling display of skill and strategy.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, The Six Offenders started the season strong, defeating Cunning Stunts 5-2 as they showcased their offensive prowess. The Broad Beans also put on an impressive performance, netting eight goals to Intayanan's lone strike. Royal Madrid topped it off with a 4-1 victory over Only Put Matip In, rounding out a thrilling first week for the top division.

DIVISION TWO  

Division 2 saw some of the highest scoring games of the week. Osama dominated with a 7-1 win against Keowns Own while Only Kruls And Horses outpaced Local Benchwarmers with a staggering 12-2 victory, setting the pace for the division.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, Sons Of Pitches narrowly edged out Expected Toulouse FC 2-1 in a nail-biting contest. Only Fools And Forklifts, however, had a more comfortable 11-1 win over Fiorentina Turner while Pathetico Madrid beat His Mind FC 5-1.

DIVISION FOUR

In Division 4, we were thrilled with the performances of Xavi Dodgers and BarcaBoneHer, who secured victories over Ange Summers (5-2) and Guehi Pride (8-0) respectively. Optek Utd also managed a 4-2 win against Tescos Finest.

DIVISION FIVE

Finally, in Division 5, Survey Monkeys showed their dominance with an 8-3 victory over AgeDoesntMata. In a more tightly contested match, Matty And The Colonisers eked out a 1-0 win over Bumfica, while Casuals picked up a 2-0 victory against Hardly Athletic.

This exciting start has set the tone for what promises to be a season full of suspense, action, and competitive spirit. We eagerly look forward to next week's fixtures. The stage is set for another thrilling week of football in the Abingdon Monday League.
