Victorious Secret pegged back at Abingdon Monday 5 a side

A excellent night of 5 a side last night at our Abingdon Monday 5 a side league with all teams in attendance apart from Chubby Goons who had to pull out at late notice but will be back next week.

The Premier League is wide open this season as top of the table Victorious Secret couldn't make it 5 wins out of 5 as they were pegged back by Hadland Rovers in a nine goal thriller 5-4. Secret are still top by a point but the defeat allowed Coopers Troopers to move into second place as they secured a 8-5 win over Club Tropiciana Drinks who drop to 4th. Up into 3rd are Fruity Spartans who went goal crazy last night winning 17-5 against Class on Grass. With only 4 points separating 1st and 8th there is lots to play for so Lallanas 4-2 win against Bunch of Bench Warmers along with Hardly Athletic's 8-3 win over Brumford FC could prove key in helping them push up the table towards the top two.

In Div 1 FCUOB continue to lead the table with a 100% record after week 5. With Chubby Goons not there FCUOB picked a 5-0 points match win last night. Just a point behind are Substandard Liege however they weren't able to keep their own 100% record in tact as they were held to a 4-4 draw by Savills. In other matches Shlong Hanborough FC had a comfortable evening defeating AFC Begbroke 12-2 while there was a 6-4 victory for Pique Blinders over Survey Monkeys. Finally there was a first win of the season for Crixus who overcame Cunning Stunts 7-4.
