What a title race at Abingdon Monday 5 a side

A big thank you to all teams at our Abingdon Monday night 5 a side league. The league is building up to be a fantastic season in both divisions.

At the top of the Premier League things really couldn't get any closer as Coopers Troopers moved to the top of the table with a 14-2 win over Class on Grass. We then have no less than five teams all a point behind them only separated by goal difference. Currently occupying second spot are Fruity Spartans who narrowly defeated Victorious Secret 4-3, Secret drop to 3rd but are still only a point off the top. Reigning champions Club Tropicana are 4th, last night they beat Bunch of Bench Warmers 10-2. Hadland Rovers stay 5th on 8 points too, they defeated Brumford FC 13-3 while the last team on 8 points are Lallana's In Pyjamas who secured a 5-3 win over Hardly Athletic. The title is up for grabs for any of the top 6.

On to Div 1 and FCUOB still lead the way after a points match win last night due to Survey Monkeys being away. Monkeys will return next week. Substandard Liege stay a point behind with a 15-3 win over Pique Blinders. Also in with a good chance of promotion are third place Shlong Hanborough FC although they only just beat Savills 3-2 last night. In other results Crixus are beginning to find form as they won 3-1 against AFC Begbroke while Cunning Stunts beat Chubby Goons 17-3.
