ABINGDON THURSDAY 5 A SIDE SEASON GETS UNDERWAY
Abingdon 5 a side Thursday league saw an intense week of football in the Premier League, with nail-biting matches and astounding performances. The league kicked off its season with a bang, as teams battled it out on the field to try and get the season off to a winning start.
The Xavi Dodgers emerged victorious with a 5-4 win over Didcot FC, while FC HOG picked up a points match win due to the remain space in the league. The Pie Eaters and George 249 had a close match, with George 249 eventually winning 5-4. RealSoSoBad secured a relatively comfortable win with a 6-2 score against Last Chance Salloon.
Queens Teens Rovers triumphed over Barely Athletic with a 6-2 victory, while Pool And Rum had a tough time against Murder On Zidanes Floor, who won 8-1, Zidane's captain Scotts Harris with a MVP award and four goals. The highlight of the week goes to champions Nathan Collins FC, who secured an impressive 8-2 win against Narcos FC. Harry Stanley from Nathan Collins FC put up a stellar performance, earning him the title of the most valued player of the week.
The league promises to be an exciting ride, with plenty more matches and talent on display in the coming weeks.
