Abingdon Thursday 5 a side news | WEEK 5

The fifth week of the popular Abingdon Thursday Football league witnessed a dramatic game night, full of action-packed performances and high scoring matches. The highlight of the week was in Division 1, where the teams displayed extraordinary skill and fierce competition.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels continued their dominance over RealSoSoBad with an impressive 5-3 victory. The Skrtels played an aggressive offensive game, demonstrating their sublime skills and tactical prowess, which pushed RealSoSoBad on the back foot. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels have proven to be a real force to reckon with this season and continue their excellent run.

On the other hand, Nathan Collins FC delivered a formidable performance, decimating The Pie Eaters with a resounding 5-0 win. The team showcased a balanced game, with all players delivering their best in both offensive and defensive roles. The Pie Eaters were left with no answers to the strong gameplay of Nathan Collins FC.

However, the match that stole the limelight was between Narcos FC and FC HOG. The latter showed a formidable offensive display, crushing Narcos FC with a whopping 10-1 victory. FC HOG's performance has set a new benchmark for the opponents in the league, and their goal-scoring streak has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Sadly, the top scorers for each game weren't made available, but the results speak volumes about the high intensity and competitiveness of the Division 1 league. The week was full of twists and turns, reminding us that in football, it's not over until it's over. We are looking forward to the rest of the season, with much anticipation for some more exciting and competitive football in the weeks to come.

Thank you to the referees for their commitment to keeping this league alive and kicking!
